Major Shipping Lines Maersk & Hapag-Lloyd are coming together to form a long-term operational collaboration - 'Gemini Cooperation,'. It is scheduled to be initiated in February 2025, immediately following the conclusion of their current 2M Alliance. The Gemini Cooperation represents a significant stride in elevating services to new heights.

Key highlights of the network include:
•    It provides global coverage across 7 major trade routes: Asia/US West Coast, Asia/US East Coast, Asia/Middle East, Asia/Mediterranean, Asia/North Europe, Middle East – India/Europe, and Transatlantic.
•    With 26 mainline services, the network ensures a robust and well-connected infrastructure.
•    The mainline services will be supported by network of dedicated Shuttle Services centred around owned and/or controlled transshipment hubs. With 14 shuttle services in Europe, 4 in the Middle East, 13 in Asia, and 1 in the Gulf of Mexico, these shuttles provide a fast connection with flexible capacity between hubs and ports.
•    Offering smooth connectivity to a wide range of transportation products and logistical services, streamlining supply chain operations for enhanced efficiency.
•    Competitive Transit Times across strategic corridors to ensuring timely and efficient cargo movement.

As the collaboration with MSC within the 2M Alliance continues until January 2025, emphasis is placed on the reliability of the current network for East-West trades. The transition to the Gemini network is anticipated to be seamless, ensuring to provide uninterrupted and high-quality service throughout the evolution.
